Proposed lead shot ban in Montana

Comments are welcome from residents and non-residents. The public comment period closes on 22 Jan. 2010 at 5 PM. For further clarification, you may call the Wildlife Bureau office at 406-444-2612. The areas of Montana that I hunt, don't have any of the mentioned parcels nearer that 100 miles. Most bird hunting areas I have access to are on private land that has received state-sponsored bird plantings. According to the posted signs on those parcels in past years, the hunters only need to speak to the land-owner, then go about his hunting.

Ill speak with my friends there and ask about any "new" regulations for 2010 on their land about shot requirements, if any.
